Amanda Lord is a 28-year resident of St. Petersburg with two children currently attending Pinellas County public schools.
She is a proud graduate of Eckerd College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts with High Honors, dual majoring in Business Management and Spanish with a minor in International Business. She also holds an MBA with a concentration in International Business from the University of Tampa.
As an active PTA leader, Amanda most recently led a robust 31-member PTA — serving two years as Treasurer and two years as President at North Shore Elementary. During her tenure, the school moved from a C-rated school to an A-rated school for the first time in 14 years.
Amanda currently serves on the Church Council at Pass-a-Grille Beach Community Church, representing the Youth and Families Ministries, supporting programs for elementary, middle school, and high school-aged children.
Employed by one of the largest global asset managers for 24 years, Amanda is a Senior Project Manager working on large, multi-million dollar strategic programs.
She holds her PMP certification and taught as an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College for 11 years — primarily Business Management, Project Management, and International Business — before stepping away to be more active in the PTA.
Amanda has been married for 13 years. Her husband recently retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and currently works at Power Design. Their family is deeply rooted in this community, and that's exactly why Amanda is running.
